Do you hold a District of Columbia license in counseling, social work or psychology?

Would you like to set your own schedule and determine your caseload?

We are always looking for licensed Deaf clinicians to work with us. Our goal is to include counselors from every state.

Deaf Counseling Center provides exceptional counseling and personal development services to individuals of all ages, couples, and families. In addition to individual, family, and couples counseling, we partner with schools, businesses, and other organizations through counseling, seminars, and consultation.

Position Requirements

Master’s or doctoral level degree
Fully licensed to practice independently
Must have professional liability insurance
Already paneled or willing to be paneled with insurance companies – we can help with this
Must  be comfortable using  email or videophone
Must not have own private practice

Benefits

Paid an hourly rate
No need to deal with insurance and billing – we take care of this
Set own schedule – no client or appointment quotas to meet

Compensation

Payment as an independent contractor, dependent upon number of sessions and caseload per month

1.  Contact us for email information, then submit the following paperwork to Deaf Counseling Center

A.  Copy of professional license (must be fully licensed to practice independently – LPCC, LPC, LCSW-C, LMFT)

B.  Copy of malpractice insurance (minimum coverage: $1,000,000 individual; $3,000,000 aggregate)

C.  Professional resume

D.  Copy of Distance Counseling Certification (DCC) if you hold this. DCC is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended for videophone work

2. Complete an interview with Deaf Counseling Center (scheduled by invitation after submission of above materials)
